Fallacious Reasoning According to Tarka Shaastra

The term “Tarka Shaastra” refers to the union of the Nyaaya and Vaisheshika Darshanas. Understanding Tarka Shaastra is regarded as being essential for understanding all other shaastras. Many ideas about Pramaana, the means of knowledge, and Vaada, the art of debate, are found in this Shaastra.  In this session, I’ll discuss a) How to spot flawed reasoning and b) Types & examples of faulty reasons.

MPhil (1987, UoH) Brought out Vakyapadiyam as theoretical foundation of Ashtaadhyaayee Around 50 publications, around 60 conference /seminar/ workshop papers.
