Expert speakers are going to speak on Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu Odia, Marathi, Tamil, Prakrit and Bhil tribal retellings of this key itihasa of the Hindus. Accomplished Sankrit Vedic and Shastric scholars are going to bring out the hitherto unknown nuances of Bhasa’s Mahabharata plays Karnabharam and Urubhangam. A highly accomplished young prodigal shaastra scholar and Sanskrit Telugu sataavadhani is going to talk about the classical Telugu Mahabharata and its adherence to Vyasa’s original version. Two highly learned women scholars are going to speak on the depiction of Draupadi in a classical Kannada retelling and a modern time Tamil retelling. Interesting issues such as Bhil tribal understanding of Parikshit and Traditionality in the ancient Jain retellings of the itihasa are being focused by dynamic scholarly youngsters. Interesting aspects like Advaita in a folk element in a classical Odia Mahabharat, Bhagavadgita’s poetic retelling as part of Bharat’s freedom struggle are also covered by expert scholars.
