Darshana: Experience the Self
Retreat by Indica Yoga with Alisha Netalkar, Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy & Dr. Jayaraman Mahadevan
Indica Yoga is pleased to announce a week-long yoga retreat that will give participants an introduction to the practical, philosophical and bhakti aspects of yoga that you can practise in your daily life. The retreat will help participants tune into their subtle mind and body through the practice of yoga, mantra, philosophy and meditation. When we apply yogic intellect to our mind and the actions it inspires, we purify the gross and subtle layers of our body, mind and intellect allowing us to eventually achieve union with the infinite, non-divided Self. This week-long immersion into yogic practices will be led by Hatha Yoga teacher, Alisha Netalkar, the Director of Indica Yoga, Dr Vinayachandra Banavathy, the Director of Textual Research (Yoga), Indica Yoga, Dr Jayaraman Mahadevan. Our approach is to offer yoga experiences that are immersive, authentic, and transformative, and this retreat offers all three.
Finding Our Nature in Nature
The retreat will be held at the Satsanga Resort in Goa, and we’re creating an ashram-like experience where participants can study, contemplate and meditate in peace, surrounded by nature, silence and stillness. In addition to asanas and pranayama classes, we will have lectures on the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras, sessions of Yoga Nidra and chanting and talks on the practical application of yoga philosophies in life.

A subtle diet is essential for a subtle mind and all meals served at Satsanga will be vegetarian and conducive to yogic practices.
