DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends in Yoga\, \nThe second edition of Mysuru Yoga Utsava (MYU) was an extraordinary gathering\, bringing together over 50 renowned teachers\, 400 participants from 20 countries\, 30 associate institutions\, and an inspiring wellness exhibition. The packed cultural performances and deep learning sessions made it a truly enriching experience. The energy of the event continues to resonate\, and we are humbled by the messages from participants who are already looking forward to the next edition. \nWe are delighted to announce that Mysuru Yoga Utsava 2025 will be held from 18th to 21st December 2025 at Wind Chimes\, Mysuru. \nThis year\, our theme is Tapas – The Fire of Transformation. \nTapas – The Fire of Transformation \nकायेन्द्रियसिद्धिः अशुद्धि-क्षयात् तपसः | \n“Kāyendriyasiddhiḥ aśuddhi-kṣayāt tapasaḥ”\n(Through Tapas\, the body and senses attain perfection by burning away impurities.)\n—Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2.43 \nTransformation is never effortless. It requires heat\, intensity\, and perseverance. Tapas is this disciplined effort—a conscious\, sustained practice that purifies\, strengthens\, and leads to inner growth. It is the fire that burns through inertia and old conditioning\, opening the path to deeper awareness and freedom. \nPatanjali places Tapas at the heart of Kriyā Yoga\, alongside Svādhyāya (self-inquiry) and Īśwara Praṇidhāna (surrender). Together\, these three guide the aspirant toward clarity\, resilience\, and inner peace. Tapas teaches us to embrace the necessary discomfort that comes with real change\, helping us cultivate strength\, focus\, and grace in our journey. \nWhy Tapas?
