SUMMARY:2 Day Well-Being Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Maharishi Patanjali defines Yoga as the state of Samadhi where the various mental and cognitive processes become still and one experiences a deep state of silence within. When Yogic practices are taken up in a systematic manner and for sufficiently long period of time\, one can experience transformation at the level of the body\, mind\, intellect and beyond. Some of these states of heightened awareness have been measured\, in recent times\, with the help of modern scientific techniques and instruments like EEG and MRI scans. These techniques show various regions of the brain that fire up when various yogic practices are done. These help to understand the underlying benefits of Yogic practices for brain health and thereby overall health and happiness. \nWhile Yogic experience is subjective\, modern scientific studies bring an objective view through appropriate design of experiments. Combining these two approaches can be benefit to researchers and practitioners of Yoga. This experiential retreat will expose participants to the Philosophy of Yoga through insights from the Yogasutra\, simple yogic practices and an understanding of how these practices benefit health and happiness from a neuroscience perspective. \nKey Focus: \n\nPhilosophy of Yoga (Yoga Darshana) through insights from select portions of Yogasutra of Patanjali\nYogic practices: Asana\, Pranayama\, Dharana\, Dhyana\nBenefits of Yoga on health and happiness: Neuroscience perspective\nGuided silence\n\n*Suitable for Practitioners\, University/College Students\, Researchers and Yoga Enthusiasts (Age group: 21-60) * \nRetreat Fee: Rs.7\,500/- \n*Avail Early Bird discount offer: Rs.6\,000/- for registration before 05th Sept\, 2022.
