Yoga and Fascias: Feel the Flow of Life in the Body

According to the latest neuroscience researchers, fascias are like a huge net, sustaining the whole body and embracing all the organs. It has been discovered that some chronic pains like back pain could have their origin in a rigidity of the fascias. Fascias are very sensitive and tend to stiffen with stress and age. But the good news is that they can soften and be stimulated by movement and motion through yoga practice.

Florence Cevaer

Yoga Instructor and Owner of the Studyo in Marseille France

Yoga has been part of Florence's life for almost 40 years. She started when she was 20 years old and never stopped. Yoga is her way to feel good in her body and to live her spirituality. In September 2011, she created one of the first Yoga Studio's in Marseille, France, simply named "the Studyo." She also likes to run yoga retreats, especially in India, where people can fully release tensions and connect to their real self.

Sophia has been a journalist for over 15 years, and she has been practising hatha yoga for 20 years. She completed a yoga and Vedanta course at the Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Netala, and she's been practising hatha yoga in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya systems. She is currently studying Indian philosophy and is a regular journalist
