An Introduction to the Panchakoshas

This session is an introduction to the paksikalpana prakriya that explores the five-dimensional human system, beyond which shines the Atman. Nrithyaji and Indica Yoga are hosting a weekend workshop to explore the Panchakosha Model and its practical applications. This session is a great way to understand what to expect at the retreat, which will be held from 2nd – 4th June at the Indica Ritambhara Retreat. Smt. Nrithya Jagannathan

Director, KYM Institute of Yoga Studies, Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai

Smt. Nrithya Jagannathan is a senior yoga therapist from the Krishnamacharya tradition and was a student of renowned Yogacharya Sri T K V Desikachar for over a decade. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she is currently the Director of the KYM Institute of Yoga Studies, the training and certification wing of the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. She has traveled extensively around the world to teach Yoga, Yoga therapy and Vedic Chanting and is a certified therapist from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C- IAYT). Nrithya is currently also on the Certification Committee of the IAYT. Nrithya is the chairperson of the IYA Tamilnadu State Subcommittee for Academic Courses and Examinations. She was honoured with the Yogini Award for Tamil Nadu State by Eduglife Vishipsa in February 2023. Deeply passionate about all aspects of Indian literature, culture and philosophy, Nrithya is also the Editor in Chief of Darsanam, the Quarterly Journal on Yoga and Yoga Cikitsa of the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram.

Host, Editor & Curator, INDICA YOGA

Sophia Ann French is the Editor & Curator at the Indica Center for Yoga Studies and Indica Center for Ayurveda Studies. She has been practising hatha yoga for over 15 years and she is a regular practitioner of Vipassana. She is also studying Vedanta with the Chinmaya International Foundation, she is a certified Sivananda Yoga teacher and was the founder and editor of India's first online magazine on Yoga and Vedanta. As Editor & Curator at Indica, she ensures we develop and maintain authentic connections with yoga teachers, institutes, vaidyas, etc, so that we can connect and collaborate to bring you the best of Indian knowledge systems and the lineages that support these systems.
