Antarāyās – Impediments in the Yogic Path

Apoorva will be giving a talk on the Antarāyās or Impediments in the yogic path as per the yoga Sutras of Patanjali. From this session, one will learn about the Antarāyās and also ways to come out of them.

Assistant Professor of Engineering, Yoga Teacher in the tradition of Sri TKV Desikachar

Apoorva Raghunandan is a Professor of Electronics Engineering and a Yoga teacher of the Krishnamacharya tradition who has a great passion for Indian knowledge systems, poetry, classical music, science, technology. She has studied yoga from well known yoga gurus, Dr. Latha Satish and Yogacharya S Sridharan (both of them are long time students of the legendary yoga master Sri TKV Desikachar). She has exposure Vedic chanting and Carnatic Classical music and has a strong interest in Indian Philosophy.

Sophia has been a journalist for over 15 years, and she has been practising hatha yoga for 20 years. She completed a yoga and Vedanta course at the Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Netala, and she's been practising hatha yoga in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya systems. She is currently studying Indian philosophy and is a regular journalist
