Indica Today Samvaad: Research Methodology & Writing Skills

In our pursuit of identifying, nurturing and promoting Indic authors, we will be hosting ‘Samvaad’ – an instructive and interactive session with Prof. Dr. Gauri Mahulikar for scholars and upcoming & aspiring authors based in the city of Mumbai, in association with the Department of Sanskrit, University of Mumbai on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Samvaad is being initiated with a view to enhance the skillsets of researchers and provide an understanding of academic rigour that they can bring to their work. The initiative aims to provide methods of rigour, research methodology for different types of writings such as historical, interpretation and understanding of shastras and writing skills for effective and unambiguous communication of ideas on different Indic subjects.

‘Samvaad’ is an initiative wherein, Prof. Dr. Gauri Mahulikar, Academic Director, Chinmaya International Foundation, Member of IndicA Today’s editorial board and the former HOD- Sanskrit, University of Mumbai will engage in a cordial discussion with scholars, students and aspiring authors from different academic and professional backgrounds with a view to foster a strong, assertive and proactive fraternity of Indic authors.

DATE & VENUE-
The workshop will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 between 10 am to 3 pm at the Conference Hall, Ramakrishna Bajaj Sanskrit Bhavan, Vidyanagari, Mumbai University Campus, Kalina Mumbai.

Participation in the Samvaad is open to writers, research scholars and students residing in the city of Mumbai and its adjoining areas. Interested participants are requested to get their participation by registration

Prof Dr. Gauri Mahulikar

Academic Director - Chinmaya International Foundation; Board Member - IndicA Today & Former HOD - Sanskrit, University of Mumbai

Prof. Gauri Mahulikar is a well-respected Sanskrit scholar currently appointed as Professor & Dean of Faculty, Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth. In her career, she has also been the Former Head of the Sanskrit Department at Mumbai University and Former Head of Gurudev Tagore Chair of Comparative Literature at Mumbai University. She has received many awards for her research in Sanskrit language and her continued work for its preservation. In 2013 she received the Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit Sadhana Puraskar constituted by the Maharashtra State Government.
