Symposium On Kumbha Mela & Pushkaram

Indica is organizing an online symposium on the topic of Kumbh Melas and Pushkara(m) /Pushkaraalu. Kumbh Mela is world’s biggest religious congregation. The most interesting aspect of a Kumbh Mela is that it is based both on Kshetra maahaatmya of a teertha in the form of a river and parva maahaatmya of the time in the form of certain astronomical positions. Pushkaram/Pushkaraalu is the Telugu or south Indian equivalent of Kumbh Mela. The symposium is going to have specially invited talks by researchers, administrators , practitioners and saints on a wide range of topics like Historicity,  Puranic significance, Administrative experience of an administrator, Teertha Mahaatmya i.e., the spiritual power of rivers,  Intercultural and Integrational Aspects, Mahamakham i.e.,  the Tamil Kumbh Mela, Pushkaram i.e., the Telugu Kumbh Mela , Spiritual Well being and Saadhanaa .
