Tasmat Yogi Bhava – Yoga in Gita

Bhagavad-Gita is a manual of life and shows us the relevance of many words and concepts in our day-to-day life. In the Gita, Lord Krishna has explained the concept of Yoga in a most unique way. The topic of Yoga comes in the Gita in various chapters. In this session, an attempt will be made to combine those instances and try to understand the concept of Yoga, as envisaged by Lord Krishna.

Brahmachari Ved Chaitanya

Chinmaya International Foundation

Brahmachari Ved Chaitanyaji is serving at Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) since August 2017. He has completed his graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Pune University and has also worked for a year in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) before joining the residential Vedanta Course in Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Powai in the year 2011. After completion of two years of rigorous training under the guidance of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji and the tutelage of Swami Advayanandaji and Swami Sharadanandaji, he received the Brahmacharya Deeksha on Ganesh Chaturthi day in the year 2013 and was posted at Chinmaya Prerana, Navi Mumbai centre. Being a versatile orator, he conducts regular study classes for elders, balvihars for children and workshops for youngsters in English, Hindi and Marathi. Vedji specialises in Sanskrit and has secured first rank India and World in two exams conducted by Cambridge University, United Kingdom. He has completed his post-graduation in MA Sanskrit from Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth and is presently pursuing a Ph.D.

Host, Journalist

Sophia has been a journalist for over 15 years, and she has been practising hatha yoga for 20 years. She completed a yoga and Vedanta course at the Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Netala, and she's been practising hatha yoga in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya systems. She is currently studying Indian philosophy and is a regular journalist
