Yoga Expedition From the South to the North of Bharat

The journey and awareness of yoga from Kerala to Kashmir, with a message of how important yoga practice is. The world is moving into a very unhealthy lifestyle and dealing with depression and disorders due to bad food habits, development nurturing and unhealthy competition. In this session Agrima will discuss why it is important to educate children and youngsters and older people about the practice of yoga, and how yogic practices and philosophy changes our minds and lives.

Agrima Nair

Researcher, Yoga Therapist and Cyclist

Agrima Nair was a doctoral student in molecular neuroscience at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology but when she found her calling in yoga, she completed her master's in yoga therapy from the Manipal University. On the International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2022, the Kerala resident embarked on a solo bicycle expedition from Kochi to Ladakh, practising and teaching yoga along the way. She has been awarded the Harvard World Record for the youngest solo female to travel on cycle for promoting yoga, and she is dedicated to encouraging people to use yoga and a yogic diet for physical, mental and spiritual health.

Sophia French

Host, Journalist

Sophia has been a journalist for over 15 years, and she has been practising hatha yoga for 20 years. She completed a yoga and Vedanta course at the Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Netala, and she's been practising hatha yoga in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya systems. She is currently studying Indian philosophy and is a regular journalist
