Yogic Practices to Manage Anxiety

It shall be a practical class where different techniques of yoga shall be instructed to manage anxiety neurosis, a common condition of modern life. A brief introduction on the causes of this condition and yogic perspective on the issue shall also be explicated.

Dr Lalitha Gaurav

Assistant professor, LNIPE

Dr Lalitha Gaurav pursued a post doctoral programme in Yoga from the ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) and she has a Doctorate in Yogic Sciences. She is a NET qualified professional with 15 years of experience in research, teaching and instructing yoga as well as imparting knowledge on yogic scriptures, yoga therapeutic prescriptions and yoga teaching practices . She been Assistant Professor in the Department of Yogic Sciences at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior for about 8 years. Dr Lilitha has presented and published research papers in national and international media platforms. She has also authored two books, and is the cofounder of VINYAS YOGA STUDIO, a yoga therapy centre functioning in Gwalior for the past 13 years.

Sophia has been a journalist for over 15 years, and she has been practising hatha yoga for 20 years. She completed a yoga and Vedanta course at the Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Netala, and she's been practising hatha yoga in the Iyengar and Krishnamacharya systems. She is currently studying Indian philosophy and is a regular journalist
