Mudra Rahasyam: Exploring the Art & Science of Mudra

Online five weeks Immersive workshop on Mudra

About the Retreat:

“Mudra Rahasyam” is introductory workshop to the interesting aspect of Yoga – “Mudra”. We do not find it as an obvious limb in Ashtanga Yoga described by Maharshi Patanjali.

With an explosion of ailments and illnesses plaguing Indians, due to lifestyles constrained by occupational stress, polluted cities and almost no physical expression, the situation of modern Indians living in cities has become quite challenging posing problems physically, mentally and emotionally.

This is increasingly visible with more and more people falling prey to Diabetes, Hypertension, skeleton-muscular disorders, Hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol), hormonal dysfunctions, cardiac issues etc.

Cultural Leadership Camp

Cultural Leadership Camp

An Indic Immersive Experience
Date: 31st March – 07th April, 2024

Registrations Closed for this Camp, Please feel free to fill the FORM for future camps

Summer is here and with it heat and holidays.  While earlier, it meant rushing off to thatha patti’s house (grandfather & Grandmother’s), today more often than not, it means screen time or malls and junk food.

Indica invites children aged 10 to 15 years to experience a life away from home, filled with Indic adventures.

Our new friends, calves Kumuda and Dhatri would love to be petted by you. Being around them and the greens around Rithambara will help you see life through refreshing lenses.

Yoga, Bhajans, book reading, traditional games and Vanabhojana with new friends are some of the things planned for you. You will be in charge of yourself, your young friends and for the overall fun ride.

Our Bharatiya culture is also about habits, good ones, that help us become strong minded as well as physically fit. Let us sharpen our minds with tongue twisting shlokas, see how to make our bodies supple with a few asanas. Most importantly let’s get close to ourselves.

A story from ancient India raises the question of learning and the purpose of education: how do we find the true nature of the Self and Reality; when it does not give us that Knowledge knowing which everything is known. It is the famous story of Svetaketu from the Chandogya Upanishad. Let us come together to hear these tales, to return with renewed energy, open minds and happiness.

INNER STRENGTH AND LASTING PEACE

INNER STRENGTH AND LASTING PEACE

The Teachings of Sanat Kumāra in the Chāndogya Upanishad

For both self-development and Self-realization, this portion of the Chāndogya Upanishad from the Sāma-Veda provides valuable insights and instructions. Nārada, the scholarly disciple, first learns many levels of upāsana from Sanat Kumāra, the youthful, illumined sage. These practices take us to greater and greater realization of the potential in us to act effectively and achieve brilliantly in this phenomenal world. Towards the end of this 7th chapter of the Upanishad, Nārada receives the wisdom of liberation, called bhuma-vidyā where the dividing line between others and us is erased. The realization of Absolute Oneness takes place.

Valuable Takeaways:

  • 7 Values that can Bless us with Great Moral Strength

Reaching the Retreat Venue: The venue is about 22 kms from Majestic Bus Stand and is accessible through Magadi Road and Tumkur Road preferably through own vehicles. The retreat center is very close to ‘Kamadhenu Kshetra’ – a highly popular Raghavendra Swamy temple in the last few years. It would take about an hour to reach the retreat venue from the heart of the city. Participants have to make their own arrangements. If any assistance is required Indica Yoga Team will help.
